Chair of Governors
I have two boys one currently in year 4 and one who has just left BPSP to start secondary school. As a family we love living in this part of the world and aim to make the most of all the opportunities locally especially outdoor pursuits. Professionally I have worked in numerous roles both abroad and in this country, most recently as a rehabilitation Therapy Manager within the NHS.
Philippa (Pippa) Blackmore
I have two children, Ben (aged 7) and Annabelle (aged 9) who attend BPSP. I am a teacher at a local junior school, where I teach Year 6 Maths and English. As a family, we love everything Disney! We also enjoy going to the theatre and visiting museums.
I have three children all who will attend BPSP (one moved on to secondary education, one attending and one to to go). I am pleased to be part of the Governing Body and I will endeavour to use my 20 years’ experience, working with the built environment, for the benefit of the school and those who use it. The greatest compliment of my career so far has been “for a Health and Safety guy you’re quite normal……”.
I joined the School Governors as a foundation (Church) governor in September 2014. I am an active St Peter's parishioner and have a child at this school. I have over 16 years' experience with a large city education authority helping schools to plan, estimate and monitor their spending.
Fr Jonny Scott
Fr Jonny Scott joined the ministry team at St Peter's in June as he began his 3-year Curacy. He is honoured to be serving BPSP as governor. When not in a dog-collar, Jonny loves exploring Dorset with his young family.
I am now semi-retired working in boat sales, having previously had a long term career with BT in their Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Training Divisions.
Interests include all things nautical, building restoration, psychology, and sport. I have previous school governance experience at both Stanley Green and Oakdale Schools and am a previous member of St Peter's Church PCC where I am a regular communicant.
Two of my grandchildren have attended BPSP School, one is currently at Lilliput CE School and one at Pre-School. I am looking forward to actively participating in the life of the school and to making a positive contribution to this excellent establishment.
