Jodie Evans…and the case of the sinister school!

The two children had hoped the had not been seen, as they wondered cautiously through the creepy, dark playground. “I don’t think we should be here!” Mumbled Pearl timidly. Suddenly a school security light beamed into action. They froze. The wind blew as fast as a bullet, while they crept on and on…

As they approached the silhouette of an eerie building pearl thought about the things that had brought them to this point: they had been practising for their clarinet exam, they had heard two teachers muttering under there breath “I’m telling you I heard it,” whispered Mrs Revill! “I’m not believing it, I’m sure there is a simple explanation for it,”Mr Williams had sighed. She came back to reality with a bump as her sister tripped over her in the pitch black night!

“Oops, sorry Pearl I didn’t see you there”. Softly muttered Jodie, desperately trying to make the torch work. “I think the torch has run out of battery”!

B-but I’m terrified of the dark”! Whimpered Pearl (she was awfully scared of the dark.) They clambered though the door heat rushed through their bodies.

As they stumbled into the science lab they found some metallic to power the torch.

“What’s that?” music started to play-bad music. “It’s coming from over there, shine you torch on it, quick!” wailed Pearl.

“I can’t I dropped the stupid batteries!” Yeld Jodie. Whoosh, bang went the torch as Jodie hurtled it towards the mysterious figure emerging out of the gloom. “Ouch!”

“Quick Pearl run!” They’d escaped.

After a tense weekend thinking about the excitement and adventure they had had on Friday 17th Jodie and Pearl were back at school. A strange looking boy marched up to Pearl and Jodie. “Did you hear, two children sneaked into school last Friday and hit the caretaker on the head with a torch!” rapidly screeched the boy, “the caretaker!” shouted Pearl and Jodie in unison. “Do they know who the suspects are?”

“No” sighed the boy. He stammered to his friends proudly. “Don’t worry,” sighed Jodie
