REMUS BLACK AND THE CASE OF THE SINISTER SCHOOL!

The two boys sprinted down the steps, hoping that no one had seen them. Remus Black leapt into the playground, closely followed by his best friend, Sirius Lupin. “Should we really be here?” Sirius asked Remus.

“Shut up and follow me.” Remus grunted as he darted towards the school. Cautiously, Sirius followed. They passed terrifying trees dancing in the wind. Then they reached the school…

They crept inside the school and hid in the nearest room. Suddenly, Sirius remembered how they had got there. It had been two nights ago and Remus and Sirius had gone home late because they did hockey club. On their way out, they heard two teachers (Mr Piddle and Mrs Pies) talking very quietly. “I’m telling you, screams and blasts of green light coming from the Science lab!”

“Mrs Pies, if you lie to me one more time, I will personally sack you.” Snapping back to the present, Sirius noticed that a security light was now on. He and Remus ran for their lives.

They sprinted towards Year Five, but came to an abrupt halt next to the science lab. The door had been blown off it’s hinges; they cautiously stepped over the threshold and into the Science lab, prepared for danger. All of a sudden, there was a blast of green light and Sirius was blown off his feet. From there he crumpled to the floor while the creature ran away. Remus ran to help Sirius, but Sirius had broken his leg. Remus would have to go on without him…

Remus ran, his heart had a mix of emotions at the moment: Anger; Hatred; Shock; Scared; murderous. He pulled out a torch (which had once been his dad’s) and searched for the creature, then the creature dashed past and Remus set off in pursuit. Remus pulled out his pocket knife, just then the creature appeared out of breath. The creature spun round and Remus lunged. The knife slashed through his arm. The creature had been knocked out. Remus grabbed Sirius and ran for the exit.

He dashed out of the school, carrying Sirius over his shoulder. Despite carrying Sirius, Remus was sprinting faster than ever before, he had just sliced off a creature’s arm! Then he thought about the fact that the creature had gravely injured Sirius, his best ever friend. Now he knew what he must do. He pulled out his pocket knife and pressed it against his heart. Then he changed his mind and dropped the pocket knife and carried Sirius home. Three days later, at school, everybody was asking why Sirius was in crutches. Then their friend, Scott Willis, came up to them and said, “Some kids broke into school on Friday and cut Mr. Piddle’s arm off!”

“What?!” Remus exclaimed.

“I know,” Scott said, then rushed off to his other friends. Remus and Sirius exchanged looks. “It was Mr Piddle all along,” they burst out laughing as the bell rang. Everything was great!
